FAR REACH APPLICATION FORM
Application for appointment for tutelage at Far Reach Academy
Applicant Name: Haruki N. Hyde Applicant Age & Date of Birth: 17; 11/3/1997 Applicant Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual (Asexual front) |
Applicant Appearance:
-
Standing at only five feet and three inches, with blonde hair and red eyes, Haruki is easily one of the least physically intimidating students at Far Reach. Her lithe form betrays her lack of physical strength, but what it doesn’t give away is her cutting tongue and mostly-unsavory personality. She can appear pretty dopey sometimes, wearing a blank face as she wanders around the halls of the Academy, however one shouldn’t mistake this for her not paying attention. When she’s not wearing the Academy uniform, she’s been rumored to wear a black t-shirt with a red skirt and matching black, steel-toed boots.
She has a jagged scar down the left side of her midriff from an incident when she was younger, and her eyes appear slightly slitted.
“You have a lot to learn if you think I’m weak.”

Applicant Personality:
-
Haruki Hyde. A genius to those close to her, devil in human skin to most everyone else. She’s extremely confident in her abilities, for good reason, which has led to her possessing a superiority complex with faint hints of megalomania. She’s deceptive, and has enough planning skill to even outwit the headmaster of Far Reach Academy several times over. As with any person though, Haruki hides a soft side underneath all her scaly, flaming, extremely lethal armor, and it’s a side that makes her appearance seem less like a clever trick of nature and more like a mirror for Haruki’s kinder self. She’s not easily angered, as she’s almost a true master of the infamous Xanatos Gambit, to the extent she’s even minorly skilled in Xanatos Speed Chess (both via TVTropes), a feat that takes far more manipulation and skill then one would think humanly possible.
“Ever heard of Plan Z? It’s a wonderful tactic.”

Applicant History:
-
Haruki…
Doesn’t remember much of all of her life before the age of twelve. In fact, trying to do so causes the girl immense pain, such so that she finds herself crippled for the remainder of the week.
What she does remember are flashes, bits of a story she desperately wishes to learn more about. She remembers a city, with all the bright lights and loud noises, people milling about. Signs written in Japanese hanging from buildings, and a kind male voice telling her about his day. She remembers a school, but none of those who attended with her, or even the name. She remembers a boat, and a hand holding hers as a mint statue towered above them.
But that’s it.
What she doesn’t remember, are the memories of her parents, of the life they had started in America, of the day Haruki fell out of a tree in the backyard, of the day her father came home bruised after standing up for a co-worker. She remembers not the day her father…
Simply didn’t come home at all.
She doesn’t remember the reasoning behind her current frame of mind, doesn’t know the tragic story behind it. How her mother was killed because Haruki had reacted too slow, how she hadn’t anticipated other courses the killer might make. She doesn’t remember the blood on her own hands, or how she had vowed to become stronger on that day so that nobody would ever think of harming anyone close to her again.
She doesn’t remember the cops coming to the scene and witnessing the girl curled up and crying next to her mother’s corpse.
The earliest memory she possesses is after they took her to the station, where through the haze of time she can barely remember giving a very brief and tear-choked description of what had happened.
She only barely remembers the orphanage she grew up in, but she remembers in vivid detail the words she put on an application to Far Reach Academy near Britain. Anything to get out of that building. She remembers the flight to the Academy when she was fifteen, two years ago, and she remembers establishing herself as a tiny tyrant of sorts, ruthlessly lording over those around her as her personality became more and more twisted from the cute girl she had been only three years prior.
She remembers her ambitions, her drive to become a Royal. Her drive to set this world right, but how she’ll go about doing that…
It’s all just a plan in the works, and only Haruki knows the full details.
“Trust me, I’ve never planned wrong before.”
