Applicant Personality:
Marcus is a man that burns with inner intensity and lives seemingly for the moment and acts on a whim. While it is true that Marcus is subject to acting on impulse often it isn't due to a lack of intelligence, he know's full well that a lot of the time it would be to his benefit to adjust his approach but doesn't let that stop him from living his life to the fullest. In short he is simply a man that live for the joy of the everyday whether that means a good fight or running across rooftops.
Despite his short attention span Marcus is surprisingly well learned and disciplined in his fields of choice those being swordsmanship and martial arts. Though more than swordsmanship he has a passion for the martial arts practicing practical MMA but focusing on Muay Thai and Judo, in fact his passion for his art form goes so far as for him to learn Japanese and Thai and stowaway on a ship in an attempt to go to those countries to learn from their masters, though he only ever succeed in making it to Japan and for the couple weeks he was there before getting arrested for trespassing then deported never managed to meet an appropriate master.

Applicant History:
Marcus was born in Seattle Washington though he spent most of his life traveling from one place to the next due to both his parent's being active military personnel. From when he was born he moved from place to place and lived mainly in military housing. During this time Marcus had the values of restraint discipline and patriotism impressed on to him by everyone except his parents. His parents unlike pretty much everyone else in his life encouraged him to actually expand his horizons and to be what he really wanted to be, so out of all the lessons everyone tried to force on him he took really only one and that was the value of freedom. Marcus continued this lifestyle until the age of ten when both his parents where killed in active duty while he was attending boarding school. At first he was devastated beyond words, his normally affluent personality shut down to the point where he was little more than a husk of a human going through the motions of the day to day, during this phase he was taken under the care of his uncle who was a high enough ranking officer in the military to never see combat. After about a month Marcus burst out of his room with a grin on his face and a fire burning in his eyes brighter than ever before because when faced with the fragility of human life he didn't become fearful he instead saw that he needed to shove as much joy and experience into his that he could. Since that day no one has seen him frown or cry or break down, because he couldn't afford too.... since he had to have a large enough some of joy for three.
